The young lady walked up to me on the streets and took my hands.
Confused, I stared at her.
Her face looked strange but familiar.
“Follow me, I have something to show you,” She said to me.
“Look at that building” She pointed at a two-storied structure across the road.
“That is the new office of Stainerz Group she informed me.
“Wait, a new office? I thought they were at No. 9 Gibbs Street and at N0 40. Eket Oron, Eket?” I asked with raised eyebrows.
“Yes but we’ve relocated to No. 12 Gibbs Street, Uyo while our Eket office is still intact. We have also expanded our services to serve our clients better!”
“What services do you offer?” I inquired.
“We run Stainerz Properties – Real Estate Development and Property Management Services
Stainerz Prime Funds – Smart Investment scheme offering 3% ROI
Stainerz Oil & Gas – Efficient fuel stations and much more!” She announced and continued, “let’s go inside and take a tour of the office”.
Like a child enchanted by the Pied Piper of Hamelin, I fell under her spell and followed her lead even though I didn’t even know her name.
We climbed the stairs and got to the second floor.
I walked into the reception.
The ambience was captivating.
The cold AC embraced me with its chilly arms.
Soothing music from the woofers connected to the TV called out to me.
I felt like I was standing in an office space in a Skyrise in the Central Business District of Manhattan New York City.
I saw smart staff with smiling faces.
I saw different units of the company.
Rental unit.
Marketing unit.
I peeked into the General Manager’s office and saw the Manager at his desk poring over some files.
HR office…
Accounting/Sales Department…
“Wow, this is a state of the art office, I now see why Stainerz Group is the leading urban premium real estate company in this part of the country,” I thought out loud.
She led me out of the room and into a passage, catwalking lightly as if afraid to step on the polished tiles.
“This is the board room” She waved to me as we entered another section of the building.
I saw a Polished mahogany conference table with conference seats in the expansive room.
“Hustle o, so you can sit at this table one day” I whispered to myself.
With a phone call, the door of the Managing Director’s office opened and I was ushered inside.
The comfy interior design and exquisite furnishing piqued my interest and I exclaimed, “This is not Nigeria, this is Dubai!”
The stylish CEO Arc Chris Stainerz Umoren was seated at his table, talking business with a client on the phone.
As I moved towards the MD’s lounge, My tour guide whisked me out of the office.
“Please what’s your name?” I asked in desperation.
“My name is Juliana” She said with a smile.
I made my way out of the building still dazed at the sights of the office.
